About Me

Barron Flood (he/him) is a candidate for ordination in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a Master of Divinity student at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he has been recognized with the Raymond Irving Lindquist Fellowship in Parish Ministry and the Jagow Scholarship in Preaching.

 

A lifelong Presbyterian from Atlanta, Barron earned a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and practiced commercial litigation for nearly a decade before responding to a call to ministry. He currently serves as Summer Pastoral Resident at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City, supporting the clergy and staff through worship leadership, congregational care, and outreach and engagement ministries. Barron is passionate about cultivating faith communities that foster curiosity, thoughtful theological reflection, and faithful action in the world.

 

He regularly preaches as a guest minister and has experience working with congregations on LGBTQ+ issues, grant funding, polity, and community partnership-building. 

 

He lives in Brooklyn with his husband and their rescue dog, Roz.
